Javelin Turns
Objective
Javelin turns help to learn effective steering through successful balance on the outside ski. Finding balance in the outside ski earlier in the turn. Aiding to control the skis and create a good turn shape.
Description
To execute a good javelin turn you need to be able to steer the skis effectively.
start in a plough (wedge) and steer the outside ski at the same time as lifting the uphill ski. The outside ski should steer underneath the uphill ski.
First learn steering in a power plough then develop up to the javelin turn.
